Our gardener was in yesterday and chopped back loads of stuff from this corner so this morning I saw for the first time so clearly the telephone cables. Sun is not quite out yet but we have a gorgeous blue sky today:

NOW, let me remind you all that I am REALLY IMPATIENT and DESPERATE to know what Anita has in store for us. She is such a tease!!! I think we should bombard her asking for more clues.

As promised my new hair colour - no I have not gone completely blonde just the pink bit - what you think????

 

As for the job, I met with the bosss man yesterday AND I will be starting work mid October 2008. Woo Hoo. It is just SUCH an exciting venture, but can only share more when I have started!

For the next two weeks I am going to be really busy getting ahead on projects for IACW just in case I am so busy working LOL. Perish the thought.

Oh BTW here is my wall hanging done for IACW yesterday:

 

I made it from patches of patchwork left to me by my son in law's mother who was a prolific crafter.

Now you may think what the heck is this but this is the street (not tree) LOL  I lived in in 1962 before we left Edinburgh for South Africa so it is a very nostalgic landmark for me ...

This morning I have been to the hairdresser and the pink / red has been replaced my blondish. Not sure i like it :(.

Will take a pic and let you all see. Then I went for eyebrow wax and tint. Well two eyebrows actually.

I hope to be starting my part time work soon and am seeing the boss man this afternoon. I am very excited and looking forward to some real work. Will let you all know tomorrow how it goes.

ok a bit of a cheat from my holiday in Scotland. I was cleaning up my computer this morning and came across this shot and thought it might just fit. I took the photograph in Edinburgh, my birthplace.

As for today i had a great morning having my nails done and they look "clickety click" drop dead gorgeous. LOL

I have been busy today. And now i am crafting my first 12 by 12 layout in a few weeks. it is such fun. Nothing is stuck down yet but most of the bits are on my crafting table. So I SHOULD finish today.

Tomorrow i have a manicure and i am desperate!!!! Tuesday is the hairdresser and probably later next week a facial. LOL love a little pampering.

I am home...

... after 7 weeks of travelling, and it's good to be home... Although it was sad for me to leave Caz knowing that it may be a while before I see her again. The trip home was long and we were delayed for 2 hours in Dubai because of problemss loading the fuel onto the plane. LOL

and the word today is leaf - so take a leaf out of my a to z journal....

 

I have to get cracking and finish my V page for next Saturday or is ot the next????

Today i have unpacked and  done all the washing. So I am back to normal.  Now what can i share with you today? well I have a few simple shots of some of the gardening we did at Caz.

 

This bed was full of hedge which we cut back and replanted, Inspired i think by the heather in scotland. It was great to work in the garden and i only wish I could have done more for caz and stu. never mind next time.

My plans:

I have decided that i will go to  Tibet next year (September / October) so i have to work real hard and save. Obviously i have to stop smoking again lol. I have planned this trip for many years and booked it several times and it has been cancelled. next year I am GOING!!!

Tomorrow is a holiday in South Africa and we will be gardening! I cannot believe that i have missed the beginning of Spring! The garden looks so pretty.

For the rest of today:

I am going to chill and catch up on sleep!

and guess what I found in Caz's crafty room?

 

Well a girl needs something sweet when she's crafting.

Sorry its not a good shot - a bit blurry but Ill try to do better when the light is better.

Caz is off today so we will have a crafty day. I may first go into Hitchin to get a few odds and ends! I go on the bus which is always fun. You meet so many people on public transport especially around here. Most of the passengers have a travel card and sometimes I thnk I am the only one who pays on the bus.

My  friend 'little di' arrives from South Africa on Wednesday and I am looking forward to seeing her. She is coming over for her parents 60th wedding anniversary!

Hi all

Still having a great holiday and managing to do lots of crafting. Yesterday we went to a shopping centre to buy birthday clothes for my grand daughter Rebecca. She is turning 12 during this week and she let me do a little photo shoot of her:

Today Caz and I I are gong to have a little crop and hopefully get lots done. I need to print some photographs so hopefully she will help me do that LOL.
