...and I am so excited. I have a busy day today LOL. Having my nails done and a pedicure then a facial and waxing! I had my hair done yesterday and it looks great - pink again!
Reserved for HS:MS prompt
I have a little last minute shopping to do today and then I will pack. Yes I will be all packed and ready to go by this evening. Except for the biltong which I will buy tomorrow.
When I arrive in Gatwick I catch a train then a tube then a train to Stevenage. Caz will pick me up at the station. I have the route all planned and printed out with the times of tubes and trains so I should be fine. I like to think of the travelling bit as part of my holiday and I love travelling on tubes and trains cos everything works. In South Africa I travel only by plane or car so it's a big change for me.
Cant wait to see Caz!!! and Stu and Rebecca and Calum... Woo Hoo

It is all african print and I have enough for 4 things probably aprons and sarongs. The dotty fabric is for trim! Now is that a good buy or what?

When I arrive at Gatwick I have to take the Gatwick express then a tube then a train to Stevenage where Caz will pick me up. Am so excited....

Hi all and happy Friday
Slice: To cut in thin pieces or a portion of food. Show us 'slice' in your space today.
Woo hoo have a slice of my chocolate box cake It's to "'Di(e) " for LOL
I have started to lay out all the things I am taking to the UK and the pile just keeps getting bigger. Oh well, lots of it is for Caz and Stu so I should still have space to shop a bit in the UK.
This is what I have so far
I still need to buy biltong and Eno's for Caz and Stu (cos Stu needs a pressie)!!! And maybe some more pressies for Stu (cos Stu needs LOTS of pressies to put up with me)
I also have to fit in some crafty bits, mostly tools as Caz NORMALLY lets me use her stash of which she has loads. I always ask her what she does NOT want me to use and then I use the rest! Her stuff is really well organised and co-ordinated as well. So I will take craft mat, paper trimmer, craft knife, inks, pens, scissors, glue, double sided tape and maybe some ribbon.
I finished my T page for the A to Z journal and now have an idea for the U page so I am on a roll and way ahead of the game. Here is a sneak peek of my T page:
I am making some crochet flowers for my sister's knitting project. So far I have made 9 but she wants LOADS. Anyone help me here how many is LOADS???

and woo hoo I have finished my Q page and my R page and have gone a bit digital in my old age LOL. So now all I have to finish this week is my T page, continue with 'a month in my life' and I am ahead of the game.I have so enjoyed this project. My book has lots of different styles and I am glad about that.
HS:MS prompt
Insect: A small arthropod animal with 6 legs and usually one or two pairs of wings. Find an insect on your space today.
its a cheat again but thinking of Whale watching I remembered this shot.
I was thinking about what Sue Nicholson said a day or two ago and its strange cos I have been on a mission to complete everything I start and what other people start. So I give myself a time limit and then try to achieve it. Have you noticed that you tend to ignore and just not SEE Unfinished projects after a while. NOT GOOD. Get them finished folks or they will haunt you. Good Feng Shui LOL.
I am looking forward to my trip to the UK but so looking forward to going back to work in September. I am lonely, often bored and need to interact with people. Woo Hoo I must be better!!!!
Just to let you know that I often visit your blogs early the NEXT day, that's cos I get up early (and go to bed early)
Thinking of whales yesterday set me on a roll so I have to share a few more shots today! Here they are just lolling about, you can see how close they are to the shoret...
They blow...
and whle we sat on the front and had breakfast and looked for Whales - can you see the excitement in my niece Joanne's face and hands?
I have just planned a trip in October to visit Hermanus and the WHALES and I need to take my niece and my sister - good for the soul
Just a reminder of my trip if anyone can meet me that would be great. Here are my dates again:
2nd August to 7th August - Great Wymondley near Hitchin Hertfordshire
7th August to 10th August - Brighton
10th August to 24th August - Glasgow
24th August to 21st September - Great Wymondley near Hitchin Hertforshire
OOPS I have just realised that this is the Hannah I am meeting in the UK (and who posted the whale shot)and there is another Hannah!!!! LOL Sorry for any confusion.

and I will be on my way to the UK!!!!
The word today is Succulent: Tender, juicy or tasty. A plant with thick fleshy leaves.
Well this was tender, juicy and tasty!
Today I am visiting a fabric shop - this time upholstery fabric and curtaining. My friend is upholstring some furniture and has to choose fabric. I am going to take photographs of fabrics that my sister might like as she also wants to have the living room furniture changed. Then I have a few things to finish if I am going to achieve my week's crafting target.
Oh pop on over to IACW if you have a moment as I have posted a card today.
LOL I visited Sue Nicholson's blog this morning and had a good laugh at her 'Finished projects' go on over and have a laugh! (I think she interpreted the prompt "soaked" like me but did not actually post the shot!)
And especially for Hannah, this is my special place - Hermanus. I visit every year just to watch the whales...This was taken from the verandah of our rented apartment.
And of course whales made me think of my last trip in October 2007 with my niece Joanne and her boyfriend Richard. I made this little album for him
here are just some of the pages:
Now this is really my preferred method of scrapping - cutting bits and pieces from Magazines etc.

Soaked:To get extremely wet. Find something soaked in your space today.
If I drink this too quickly I will be "soaked".
Well yesterday I finished the S page of my A to Z journal which I must admit I had planned in my head LOL. Q and R still to do.Finished my knitting project as well. And I did my 'month in my life' journal.
All in all a good day yesterday. Oh and I also finished a card for IACW post on Wednesday. Everyhing is quiet here today except for my trip to the doctor. But I am now back fro the doctor and apart from very high blood pressure and a pulse rate that was over 100 I am fine!
Almost forgot to show you what I bought for a crafter friend when I visited the 'wool shop' last week - it's the most gorgeous Bamboo - great for knitting and crochet:

Contorted: To twist or bend an item from it's original shape. Find something contorted in your space today.
OK so crumpled washing waiting to be ironed, or tangled wool, or bent twisted wire like I had yesterday? LOL here you are! Cos it's Monday its wet crumpled washing waiting to be tumbled.
Hi all from Di and WOO HOO it's another Monday. Have you got the Monday blues? Well not me. I had a lovely relaxing weekend and can now get stuck into some serious crafting again. I need to scrap... it seems ages since I created a page apart from my A to Z Journal and that's not really scrapping is it?
So this week I have to finish Q R and S pages, then I have a sewing project to finish, then I have another knitting project that's almost done. Then of course i have a 'month in my life' and THEN I can start something new. I think it will be to do with patches in some form or other.
I have a quiet week with no appointments except the doctor tomorrow. No nothing serious, I just have to renew my medication so it will be blood pressure, sugar, cholestrol tests and a new prescription. Hee Hee I hope!!!
Here is a sneak peek at something I have been working on:
