Its been so long

since I have posted on my blog.

My life has taken so many turns in the past few months and I must admit I have been very self absorbed.

More than a quarter of this year has passed and I wonder today what I have to show for it. Well I have made big changes in my life the most important of which is pretty personal.

Making this change has had a ripple effect on my entire life and I am grateful today that I can live JUST for TODAY.

Here is a little album I made to celebrate my new life.

I have been drinkng LOADS of WATER over the past few weeks and cannot believe how much better I feel. Only problem is I am forever running to the loo! LOL

Perfect timing for todays prompt we put the Xmas tree up yesterday!

Tomorrow is a public holday here in South Africa so we are having a Christmas dinner for friends and family! We are having 17 people and wil be eating traditional Xmas dinner! So today I will be preparing stuffing, making the trifle, peeling potatoes and setting up the tables and bunting in the garden!

Yes we will be eating in the garden cos it's SUMMER here LOL

Today I also have to wrap my gifts for everyone. Such an exciting day. But I also have to clean up my studio cos we put all the food on my BIG table and people help themselves. Woo Hoo I love to have a busy day - keeps me from getting BORED.

I was so delighted that "Canadacole" commented about my star yesterday! So yes I made it from scratch and here are the instructions:

This is a project from last Christmas: Its a little mini album that folds out like a star!

I have just come home from the hairdresser and having my nails done. Hair is much shorter and the nails are GORGEOUS.

Although my 'angel tree' is up the big xmas tree and all the decorations are still in the garage. Next week Sunday the tree will go up!l

HSMSHS prompt is Gift

a bit of  a cheat cos I posted this on IACW for gift wrapping a few weeks ago! I have chosen an 'ethnic theme' this year for gift wrapping.

 

And these are little gifts that I put together last year for some of the ladies in the 'village' where Caz lives...I made little calico bags to  hold their gift!

A month in my life - December 2008

And the prompt today at HSMSHS is Tradition.  

This is a new tradition for me, inspired by IACW, to keep a Christmas Journal

 

I made the journal pages in SEPTEMBER when I was on holiday with Caz, and all the cardstock and PP was from her 'discarded' stuff! All the pages are different so I am using plain cardboard coloured cardstock for matting and journalling.

 

I have loads of bits and pieces ready to embellish the pages!

 

AND I have done two days ! So am up to date. Long may it last LOL.
