What a magical day!

My day started at 7am, with frantic baking. I had promised a cake for the teas that were on sale in the village hall. I know I should have made it last night but I just didn't fancy it! So while I was baking one cake, I thought it only sensible to bake 3 more. One for my neighbours and two to take to work tomorrow for my 'birthday', which is actually on Tuesday but that's the day I am off to the buying office for a visit.

And while the cakes were baking I vacuumed the house and fought my way through a huge pile of laundry, doing 7 loads including bed linen.

But by 10.30 I was done and had time for one last wonder through the garden pulling out rogue weeds and giving the soil a little turn.

The weather was lovely, nice and warm but not too hot.

I made a little sign for my garden to let people know that it's........

lol.

I'm going to use the old roof tiles as a boarder around the raised bed along the side of the garage, and the bed behind the hedge. The bamboo edging takes a beating each time the strimmer comes out and i've already had to throw one bit out.

I am totally loving the 'wall' of sweetpeas which has now started to flower!

And the view we have of Poppy's allotment from our garden. One visitor called it Monets garden!

And some of us just loved to laze about in the warmth of the day...

I am now very tired so I doubt i'll do too much else tonight. I think it'll have to be an early one!
