Welcome to this week's challenge. What can you put ruffles on ?
Everywhere I look at the moment there are ruffles, and not just on clothes. I have seen ruffled shower curtains, cushions, aprons, tablecloths and cute little cupcakes. I think they are so summery and as we are being promised a heatwave I thought we should have more ruffles in our lives.
I decided to make a ruffled bag - with a twist! I made it from a vest t-shirt.
What can you ruffle?
Hello, Eleanor here. Thanks for this challenge Joy, that's such a sweet bag.
I was reminded of how much I loved making a ruffled skirt, here, so I scrapped it, using fabric scraps left over, a (very old) Junkitz zip, some swiss dot scalloped fabric trim, and Cuttlebug butterflies.
Then, I was in a ruffling mode, so I rustled up, or should that be ruffled up, a New Baby card, with cardstock, cuttlebug, sewing machine, broderie anglaise lace trim and some (very old) tiny goldlabel alphabet stickers:
I love ruffles.
P.S. Every time I write (very old) like that, in brackets, it means I'm feeling rather virtuous about using up old stash. :)
